Flow and Equilibrium

A dense city at night is full of apartment and office towers, with warm yellow street lights and thousands of interior lights shining through windows filling the bottom two thirds of the image. A bay is visible in the background, lined with tall buildings, giant bright billboards and signs visible on the tops of the buildings on the far side of the water. In the distance, just barely visible, are the outlines of hills surrounding the city, dotted with the lights of homes. No stars are visible in the deep purple haze of the clouded sky which reflects back the light of the city. In the bottom right of the photo is a brightly illuminated sports field, home to two soccer pitches with the tiny figures of yellow-uniformed players stopped in streaked motion from the slow shutter speed of the camera.
